As part of the Imagine Arts Festival, local author, Derek Flynn, will launch his new novelThe Ballad of New York at a very special event in GOMA on Wednesday October 20 at 6pm.
is the story of a young musician who leaves Ireland and tries to make his living playing music in New York. It is at once a story about growing up in Ireland in the late 80s and 90s; a love letter to New York; and a testament to the power of music and the songs we carry with us throughout our lives.
As well as a reading and book signing on the night, there will also be live music as Derek (along with some very special guests!) performs songs that inspired the novel.
Don’t miss this special event that takes place in GOMA (Lombard Street) on Wednesday October 20 at 6pm.
